We caution you though a torn T-shirt ,running shorts and tennies are our standard uniform. :)
St. Paul-Minneapolis has a thriving animal welfare and animal rights community. There are many independent No-Kill animal shelters and rescues throughout the twin city area in addition to the two humane societies. The "Twin Cities" is also home to numerous animal rights groups such as Black Beauty, CARE, ARC, SOAR, that regularly hand out flyers at events that they want to influence in a "positive" way. Two of the 3 main groups have their own video display trucks and one of them has a weekly television show on channel 6 MTN Cable network every Saturday night at 11:30 check it out.
They also have the Black Beauty Video Truck available out there to greet you and your friends.
There are many dog parks around the Twin Cities where you can let your licenced dogs run loose. There are also many great parks to walk your dogs throughout the Twin Cities while leashed in the event your pet companions are traveling with you.
The Twin Cities is in the middle of the meat and bible belt but for the midwest it is somewhat progressive here. The crime rate appears to be low although we do not have all the statistics. Its a great place to raise a family. We have good schools and plenty of activites to meet just about anyones need for indoor and outdoor activity.
There are 3 vegetarian hangouts. 2 vegetarian restaurants, and yes even 1 vegan raw food restaurant on Lyndale Ave. in Minneapolis called the Ecopolitan. The food here is exceptional. The food is definitely worth waiting for! Truely I think the Ecopolitan is one of the best eateries in the entire world. Try it: you will not be dissapointed, It is exceptional! For those who love Indian vegetarian dining you cannnot do better than Udupie. It is located on Central Ave. near Hwy 694 in Columbia Heights which is a northern suburb (not too far from downtown) It's about 10-15 min out of downtown Minneapolis and the food and the service is great. This is truely a world class Indian Restaurant. The decor is 60's middle class steak house, but the food and service are exceptional. Please check it out. Tell them I sent you. They reward us for every 10 referrals so we appreciate it if you mention how you heard about them. I wish the Ecopolitan had that kind of referral program.
So you want a vegan pizza! Check out the Seward Cafe on Franklin. They make fabulous vegan pizza with soy based cheese. It is really goooooood and goooooey. And you can have fake sausage, bacon, and pepperoni on it if you like. Have your pizza with a coke. My dad always told me that pizza tastes better when you eat pizza and drink Coke at the same time. Try the Seward Cafe. The service is self serve and fairly quick. Be prepared its an old restuarant and some renovation is necessary in the near future. The people are friendly most of the time but the food is good all the time. You should definitly check this place out.
If you do come for a visit give us a call in advance and we will be glad to show you our operation and give you advice on a good place to stay. Thanks for visiting our site. Sincerely: Eric Weisman, CEO, Evolution Diet |
